Pizza fest
This is a pizza of village setup near the coast of Naples, Italy. And this fest is spread over a range of one kilometre. People around the world came up there to join pizza fest. The celebration continues for 11 days. The world pizza championship is an event held annually to determine the world's best pizza makers. According to average estimates, approximately 100,000 people attend the event every year. The guests of the festival in Naples also learn the history of pizza’s creation, the best recipes and cooking secrets. The participants give their best to make bigger and spicy pizza. There are nine category of judge to judge a piece of pizza. This fest is only to spread the message “Neapolitan pizza” is just a food is a way of life.
Dumpling festival
The Dumpling festival is celebrated to commemorate this attempt at rescuing Qu Yuan. This festival is celebrated in Hong Kong, China. There are several of recipes in this festival. For example zongi, prawn Singapore dimsum etc. Zongzi is a traditional food for celebrating Dumpling festival which is on the 5th of May according to the Chinese lunar calendar. Zongzi is basically glutinous rice with sweet or savoury fillings wrapped in bamboo or reed leaves. A traditional dim sum brunch includes various types of steamed buns such as cha siu bao (a steamed bun filled with barbecue pork), rice or wheat dumplings and rice noodle rolls, which contain a range of ingredients, including beef, chicken, pork and prawns.
Herring festival
Every year in spring season, the herring fish migrates into RingkObing Fjord to spawn. This is celebrated each year in Hvide Sande with the traditional Herring Festival. This fest is celebrated in Hvide Sande, Denmark. Basically this festival can also call as the unofficial herring fishing world championship. This fest is famous for herring fish. It began in 1949 as a way for the herring fisheries to celebrate the fish’s springtime spawning runs. All the participants enjoy this fest. Fishermen and scores of people coming into the town to now enjoy platters of pickled, filleted, fried, fish-caked, and baked herring.
National street food Festival
This festival is celebrated in Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi, India. There will be around 500 of stalls and thousands of dishes to choose. Some of them are Dal bati churma, Tunde kabab etc. This 3-day feast fest promises to be a delightful journey for the Indian street food lovers. With more than a thousand vendors bringing in their best delights from various states.
The purpose of the festival is to bring street food vendors in the mainstream food scene so that they get their deserved space in the cities and respect by people. The fest is organised by food safety and standards authority of India (FSSAI). From this festival we came to know the taste of India Under one roof.
Giant Omlette Celebration
Giant omelette celebration is organised in Besieges, France to keep alive their omelette origin. The origin of the omelette is said to date back to the days of Napoleon, when the general ordered citizens to gather every egg of the locality and prepare a giant omelette for the army. Giant Omelette Celebration follows the same classic recipes which had gathered crowds for over last 33 years.
Chefs from all around the globe gathered around a huge skillet lit and heated by the wood fire in order to prepare omelette from more than 5000 eggs. One of the interesting features of this celebration is that they add one extra egg to the recipes. It is two daylong celebrations including delightful procession of chefs, local vendors, and of course music.
